How I Work
(Or, what it’s like having me around on your big day)
Hey, I’m Carl — the bloke behind C.S. Willett Photography.
For me, wedding photography isn’t just about snapping pretty pictures. It’s about telling a story — your story — through all the messy, magical, real moments that happen when two people say “I do.”
The way your partner looks at you walking down the aisle. The cheers. The tears. The wild confetti chaos. That’s the good stuff — and that’s what I’m there for.
Where I’ve Been
I’ve been lucky enough to shoot weddings all over — from the Lake District to Rome, the Bahamas to Spain.
Every couple, every setting, every story is different — and that’s what I love. Whether it’s a pub knees-up in Essex or a clifftop elopement somewhere sunny, I bring the same passion and focus to every job.
What I Believe
Your wedding day should feel like your day — not a full-blown photo shoot.
I work quietly in the background, letting things unfold naturally. I won’t be barking orders or lining people up like it’s school photo day. I’ll be wherever the emotion is — capturing the laughter, the nerves, the hugs, and the “bloody hell, we’re actually married” looks.
No awkward posing. No forced grins. Just honest, storytelling photography that actually feels like you.
Off the Clock
When I’m not behind the camera, I’m usually chasing one of my three kids, building LEGO masterpieces, or daydreaming about launching a chicken wing truck.
I’m a family man at heart — and that love for people and connection is what fuels every photo I take.
Let’s Make Something Brilliant Together
If my approach sounds like your cup of tea, I’d love to chat about your plans.
Whether it’s in Essex or overseas, big or small, let’s create something you’ll be proud to show your grandkids one day.
What It’s Like Working With Me
From the first message to the final gallery, I keep things simple, easy, and stress-free.
We’ll chat beforehand, plan things out, and make sure we’re all on the same page. On the day, I’ll show up early, blend in, and crack on — keeping things relaxed while getting the best out of you and your guests.
